This is the week when Americans celebrate the wonder of the abundance of life on earth with our family and friends.

As we look around at the incredible beauty and bounty that fills our lives, we give thanks for all we have on this beautiful world.

While we celebrate, let us also reflect on the reality that the amount of greenhouse gases we have emitted into the atmosphere is capturing an incredible amount of the sun’s energy.

The power of that captured energy is equivalent to exploding 500,000 nuclear weapons A DAY — 365 days a year.

To keep this world habitable for our children and grandchildren, we need to move to clean energy for our electricity, heating, cooling, and hot water.

While the challenge is daunting — failure is (literally) not an option.

There is nothing we can’t do if we focus our hearts and minds and transform our love for our family & friends into positive action.
